The Bush Lab

We are building the TenTogether Bush Lab and Ishq Retreat Center in Naivasha, Kenya, on a property overlooking the Malewa River valley. Our vision is to create a space where people are at the center of creation. This is our home, and we hope it will be a place where many come to create and to invent the systems and innovations that can drive humanity forward.

Phase 1 is complete. It includes accommodation for 21 and a 140 sqm workspace ideal for retreats and meetings. We are already open for business and actively hosting retreats, both for founders and for wellness groups. We can sleep up to 21 in our main house and cottages, and up to 40 with adjacent properties. Our workspace is available both for retreats and for daily rental.

Archaeological excavations adjacent to the site suggest it was at this spot, at the end of the last ice age, that humans first began to gather in community. Set on a hill in Kenya's Great Rift Valley, at the convergence of two rivers entering an ancient lakeshore, our common ancestors first gathered in cooperative communities. We believe the land still holds a power, and invites those who stand on it to feel the pull of human connection. We honor the generations before us who have stood on this same land and felt its power for connection and healing. We are creating a space with a wide invitation for those who feel a call to be here. It is a place for restoration and for creation.

Building What's Next

Work is underway to expand the facility with two new lab spaces, guest cottages, a kitchen, a gym, and a restaurant. We are actively fundraising:

$750,000 to complete the next phase of building — additional cottages and two new lab spaces for startups
$5 million for the final phase — the acquisition of land and the development of facilities for a community of global impact startups, labs, and accelerators
